Mission is Big Guns never tire with 4 markers, Hammer and Anvil.
The Screaming Star found Forewarning, Perfect timing and Scrier's Gaze. Horrorsw both got the Bolt of Change.
So, I got the first turn, deploying 3 Venoms and the Death Star. But, I should keep Trueborns in the reserve, I think... Horrors gone to Deep Strike.
LLIyT deployed a big pack of Immortals with 2 Overlords, Obyron and 2 Chronometron Crypteks in the Bastion and 2 Barges.
My turn started with making a 2++ for my Scream Council and moving forward, keeping Wyches' Venoms in 20 of Barges. Trueborn Venom prefered to hide behind the LoS-blocker.
Warp Storm did nothing interesting.
LLIyT's first turn - the Immortals have left the building, leaving Zahndrekh alone inside. The Barges moved backward.
The lightnings of Imotekh destroyed 2 Venoms - the Trueborns' one and Wyches'. Ouch! The third one remained to live.
My turn started with incoming reserves - 2 packs of Horrors (one mishapped and gone to ongoing reserves), Sathonyx, Plaguebearers. Baron has joined the Trueborn squad. And the Wyches from broken Venom entered the large ruin in the centre of a table.
Nothing interesting on Storm. The Death Star started to shoot to the Immortals, slaying the Crypteks, 2 Immortals and causing 2 Wounds to the Stormlord. Then, that pack decided to fall back, and the Crypteks didn't stand up.
So, every LLIyT's reserve has arrived. One Snipers' Scythe targeted to Death Star, one - to Horrors and the Immortals' one - to the Venom. The Immortals re-grouped and Zahndrekh has left the Bastion, re-uniting with a squad.
As the result of the shooting, Horrors and the Venom were annihilated and one Wytch from the inside survived!
My Turn 3. The Bomber has arrived from the reserves and the Horror pack.
The Warp Storm... Rot, Glorious Rot... 5 Wyches in the building were slain and one of the Trueborn... Causing Sathonyx to fail his Moral check and flee off the table... That was hurt!
The Death Star destrioyed the nearest Scythe, and Bomber's Penetrate to the another one was saved by the jink.
LLIyT's third turn wasn't much resultative, he had just destroyed the Bomber and Horrors - the only one of his targets, that can be harmed.
My 4th turn started with an arriving of Kairos. Death Star made 2++ for itself and devided into group of Screamers and a Council of Heralds. The Portal dude made a Portalglyph near my deployment zone. A single Horror was born.
Nothing interesting on the Storm. The shooting brought the destruction of the Snipers' Scythe and leaving the Immortals' one in the last HP. Screamers destroyed the nearest Barge.
In his 4th turn, LLIyT made a leap by the Immortals pack with 3 Indeps - to my counter with Plaguebaearers. The Immortals from the Scythe stepped onto the counter with a single Horror from the Portalglyph.
So, the Horror, the Portalglyph and a few Plaguebearers were destroyed from shooting.
In my 5th turn, I remained in the air by Fateweaver, targeting to shoot the large Immortals pack. Screamers got the 2++, and the Herald Council moved back to my Deployment zone.
The small Immortals pack was annihilated... And I realised my mistake - I should go to Glide mode by Kairos, stepping to the counter - the crypteks had the everliving markers, and one of them standed up, scoring the objective. On the other flang, the 2++ Screamers denied the objective near the Bastion, killing 4 of 5 warriors by Slashing Attacks.
LLIyT's 5th turn... The Arc from the Barges finished the 5th of the Warriors... Obyron detached from his pack. The boing shot my Plaguebearers, cutting their number to 6. Then, Obyron rolled 1-1-2 for the charge distance... And he did that charge. The left of the squad rolled... 1-1-2 and didn't charge... Fail. Obyron also failed his Fear-test, but one of Plaguebearers' save was failed. And i decided to re-roll it with a Staff of Tomorrow, and nobody died.
And that was the end of the game. LLIyT had the First Blood and one objective. We both had the Linebreaker. So, LLIyT had 4 points advantage, and the difference in destroyed VP was less then 500 - that was 8-12.
I was glad to play with LLIyT, he is a strong opponent and I enjoyed the game.
