Thoughts for the Team Events Roster...

After a few games in our League, I've decided to make some changes to my roster... First of all, Daemonettes are really good ones, so there's a need for at least 2 packs of them. Also, Horrors are must-have unit - a large pack of them. Simply, because they are the Troops choice of the Daemons of Tzeentch - and Heralds can join them, if I need it. And Plaguebearers... The home-scorers. Both, Horrors and Damonettes can be busy in the other places and have no time to score the marker in deployment zone. The Nurgle ones will never just forget about the scoring to complete another goal. Also, enemy tries to kill them pretty rare before he finishes the other units. And, Sathonyx with Bomber - still good choices.

PRIMARY DETACHMENT : Chaos Daemons

HQ1 : Kairos Fateweaver [300] - Warlord

HQ2.1 : Herald of Tzeentch; Disc of Tzeentch; Exalted Reward; Psyker (Mastery Level 3) [150]

HQ2.3 : Herald of Tzeentch; Disc of Tzeentch; Exalted Locus of Conjuration; Psyker (Mastery Level 3) [150]
HQ2.4 : Herald of Tzeentch; Disc of Tzeentch; Psyker (Mastery Level 3) [120]

  1. Why do you need the Baron in this list at all? Surely it would be better to spend the 305 points from the DE detachment on something else for daemons - e.g. a daemon prince so that fateweaver isn't alone in the sky, or another unit or two of horrors.

Alternatively, since you're probably worried about anti-flyer (correct me if I'm wrong) why wouldn't you just take IG with two vendettas a min ccs and a vet squad which also gives you more versatile end-game scoring?

    1. +1 for the turn roll-off, the Death Star can be surely destroyed if the first turn is not ours. Also, Bomber is wonderful as anti-air and anti-LR, as the western players always have troubles with LRs with the Death Star rosters.

305 - is less price, then DP costs, and DP is weak. And Kairos is not in air - he is in reserves.

I have no troubles with scoring with large horror pack, 2 packs of daemonettes, plaguebearers and portalglyph.

    2. Ah good point hadn't thought of that for the baron. What's the point of kairos then? Or do you get to reroll warp storm even if he's not on the table?

    3. Not for the Storm. Re-roll for the book. The main point of Death Star is 2++ with the re-roll. The fail of the grimoire roll can become a disaster :) that's why, Kairos must be included.
